Shapeways recently (Aug 12, 2011) started rejecting this model because it is "unprintable"  ... despite having printed it successfully in the past.
Obviously this is not true (See photo above), and it seems this was an aesthetic rather than technical rejection.
Based on suggestions from the Shapeways staff, the design has been revised again to follow the new design rules.  The rejections have continued, however, and according to Shapeways staff it is a matter of "luck" to get a model past some reviewers and into the printer.  Fun times.

On a suggestion from other frustrated Shapeways designers, I've set up an i.materialise store. see: ______
cm: 12.316 w x 7.708 d x 4.796 h
in: 4.849 w x 3.035 d x 1.888 h

I finally got it!! She is a fragile ship. Interconnecting the wings could reinforce the hull enough to keep cracks from forming.

If it keeps being rejected, you may have to solidly attach the wings so I can get it somehow.

It's definitely a human reviewer. This sort of thing happens often, unfortunately - http://shpws.me/DHt had been refused a while back for the exact same reason - and that one is absolutely impossible to remodel in a single shell. It had been printed before, and has since printed after the reviewer started rejecting it. Based on the communications to Shapeways support, it's basically a matter of luck as to who you get to review the print before they send it to the machine. If you don't mind solidly-attached wings, I can make sure they are solidly attached and remesh the whole thing as 1 shell... That's what the reviewer that is rejecting these wants to see, anyway. That, or three separate models that glue together (if you prefer to paint it; it's a lot of tight fitting spaces on the inside areas). I'll be busy for the next few days, unfortunately, but should be able to get an update up by thursday or friday.

Are "reviewers" human or machine?? And could someone get me an email for each and every "reviewer"? I hate the idea that someone or something else is refusing me MY SHIP on aesthetic grounds. I want this Fleet Carrier so very, very much!!!!
