The Hex Crystal is a twisty puzzle in the same vain as the Famous Rubik's Cube. Essentially, it is the three layer counterpart to the Rubik's Cheese(1-layer) and Rubik's UFO(2-Layer). The shape is something I have dubbed a Golden Elongated Hexagonal Dipyramid, the Golden coming from the fact that all the faces are Golden Triangles and Golden Rectangles.

Please note: Ordering direct from Shapeways will only give you a Do-It-Yourself kit in the color you chose, with assembly and finishing being left to the buyer. No additional hardware is needed for assembly, but materials to finish the puzzle are sold separately. The puzzle in the pictures was printed in White, Strong, and Flexible and colored with six colors of Rit Dye.
