The holes are roughly 2 mm in diameter, the inner diameter is 65 mm by 60 mm. The holes and the 1 mm wide groove along the outer edge are so that you can string wire around the outer edge. For my prototype, done in black strong & flexible, I used 20 gauge copper wire in the groove and laced it with 26 gauge silver wire--it turned out rather nice, I think. Pictures are forthcoming. My next test will be in sterling and will be wrapped with yellow and rose gold vermeil wire. It will be awhile before I scrape up enough cash to do it, though. :-)
