1.4 w x 1.4 d x 0.6 h in cm |

This is the first interlocking cube I ever designed. It consists of four pieces which fit together with a series of sliding movements. It is not too difficult for the average puzzler but will provide a satisfying challenge at this small scale. The completed cube is 1.6cm on each side.

My copy has a defect in one of the pieces but it still works OK. Looks like a part of the backing didn't come off or something.
Very nice, and works smoothly. Not too hard, but satisfying to solve.
Interlocking puzzles are rated by counting the number of sliding moves needed to remove each piece.
This is a level 8 (3.2.3) puzzle, which means that it takes three moves to remove the first piece, another two moves for the second piece and a further three to remove the third.

Mayer's cube with its level 10 (6.1.1.1.1) currently has the highest rating for a 4x4x4 cube.
