Product Description
Inspired by/made for Jessica Goldsmith's Kickstarter campaign for Braille gaming dice. It's a full d30, a rhombic triacontahedron, rather oversized in order to fit the Braille numbering (you can't scale Braille up and down to fit), but hollowed out, and rather prettily, I think. Each face is a hollow cell, in which the Braille pips can be felt. The top end of each cell is filled in, so you can feel the difference between the top and the bottom, and the number is also shown as Arabic numerals, indented in that top end. As with Jessica's dice, the number-sign is omitted, and numbers above 9 use the bottom two dots of the Braille cell to indicate the tens digit. So 11-20 have dot 3 filled in, and 21-30 have dot 6 filled in. The "J" letter is used for 10 (and 20 and 30, with the extra dots) instead of for 0. I'm told this is readable, though it does take a little getting used to.

I'm not making this available in any of the Polished Strong and Flexible materials, since that polishing process could potentially remove the detail (the Braille dots) that is so critical for the functioning of the die. If you want other colors, get it in white and use fabric dye on it.
