Product Description
The BZK SERIES, famously known as the ‘Gauss Rifle on Legs’ has undergone several refinements and redesigns since its first deployment. Most notably was the development of the BZK II in 3060, increasing the weight from the original 35 tons to 45 tons. This gave it more space for weapons and equipment, and alleviating its dependence on the ammo dependant Gauss Rifle. This resulted in a more versatile BattleMech.

In 3069, scientists looked at the design again and developed a new 45 ton version dubbed the BZK-8F III. This newer version made use of newer superlight and compact equipment, most notably replacing the standard fusion engine with a light fusion version. Additional improvements to the frame were made by adding double heat sinks, small cockpit and compact gyros. And finally removing the hand actuators. These refinements gave the Big-gun II-X the same base line speed and armour protection of the original 3060 redesign while allowing it to mount a pair of ER Medium Lasers in each arm and a ER Small Laser in the chest as well as fitting extra heatsinks to deal with the increased heat build up for the lasers.

The model stands approx 38mm tall and contains 14 parts

NOTE: The hose for the Gauss Rifle is particularly small and fragile and may not print correctly or become damaged while in production or transit. Should this be the case, a thin piece of flexible wire or plastic can be used to replace it (headphones cable or florist’s wire are ideal alternatives and are the correct size.)

This model is based on the design seen in MechWarrior IV MekTek packs
