ctxspy, I did this design as a response to being personally annoyed with the fact that some foods slip out when stabbed with a fork. Both of your observations make potentially valid points. I have no working knowledge of toxicity related to materials so I would suggest sticking to stainless steel for this one which is tried and true from a toxicity standpoint. Nor have I actually printed one of these out to see if the spines are large enough to print well. Other experts would know the answer to that better than I do. It remains a concept illustration which may indeed be humorous. It may also work! he he. I don't have the experience yet to either confirm or deny how well it would work. Thank you for your comments Aaragorn

Not sure if this is a 'joke' item, so I apologize if I missed the joke. 1) Are these materials all non toxic and safe for food consumption? It may be a liability issue to present something as safe for contact with food if it isn't. 2) As a technical note, the spines seem very small, not sure if they will be there when printed.
