Woven zigzags with a rhombic cross section make an octahedron chain when suspended. The design has two colors, which will be visible in Full Color Sandstone. Note that the zigzags are not separated in this model, so they will fuse together to enable printing in (Full Color) Sandstone. To get separated strands, there will be another model. Each zigzag strands has a 1:Sqrt[2] rhombus as cross section. When cut at 45 degrees, this gives rise to a square cut face, yielding a 90 degree miter angle. The yellow and the blue zigzags exactly fit together where they pass each other. The beam width and the period of the zigzags was chosen such that from the side, you can see a grid of squares. Put differently, the distance between the center lines of yellow and blue zigzags at the crossings equals the zigzag amplitude.
