Bounce Buddy - Bouncer for the internal flash! V2

The Bounce Buddy is a small, light and smart accessory for your DSLR. Very often when I was going to attend events like a party, taking my little DSLR along was no big deal, but also carrying my bulky external flash with me all the time to be able to bounce the light against the wall and get appealing, soft lighting? No way!

Yet, if you fire the internal flash frontally, it will most certainly result in poor photos.

So after all, would I really have to take my heavy flash with me everytime I'm going to do some point-and-shoot indoors? Fortunately the answer is no because I have found a solution for that problem and I call it the Bounce Buddy.
However, due to the design I like to lovingly call it Flashhugger, too ;-).

The way it works is very simple: Quickly snap it onto your camera's flash and turn its power to maximum. The white Surface will bounce a certain amount of light towards the ceiling, where it is bounced back towards the subject as diffuse and soft light. On this way, Bounce Buddy grants you great lighting on the go! It fits many DSLR and EVIL cameras and weights next to nothing - there is no reason not to have it in the pocket all along!

You even have some control over the light: By default, one fraction of light is bounced towards the ceiling, and and the other fraction of light is transmitted towards the Bounce Buddy's surface towards the subject as direct light. I believe that this is a nice combination to obtain even lighting for medium distances to the subject. Alternatively, you may simply block the transmitted direct light with your finger or your hand so that the subject is illuminated by indirect, soft light exclusively.

I have verified that it fits on a Nikon D5200, D7000 and D40, as well as Panasonic GH2. So it should work well with all DX Nikons and Panasonic GH Series.
The old version did not not work with the Nikon D800 because it's flash has a protruding bottom edge, but I am not certain yet whether the new version does. Probably it is compatible, as it is designed to work around that problem.

Although Bounce Buddy is NOT completely compatible to Fujifilm X-T and X-E series, it can be mounted like shown in one of the images above. It does work that way, even though it is movable. However, the camera's flash is a bit weak, so you will need to turn the ISO up quite a bit.
