Between 1913 and 1915, the Rock Island took delivery of 5,500 “Fowler Clone” boxcars from four different freight car manufacturers. These cars were 40’ long, single-sheathed, equipped with Bettendorf 'T-Section' trucks and operated (largely unchanged) well into the 1950s. This particular model matches road numbers 42200-44699 which were constructed by Pullman Standard. Like all Shapeways designs, this model requires cleaning, wheels, couplers, paint, stirrups and decals to complete. The T-Section trucks are included! It is designed to navigate curves as tight as 9 3/4" radius.
