Product Description
Eight stellated octahedra arranged in a cube, forming a space truss of octahedrons and tetrahedrons. This structure was popularized by Buckminster Fuller, who called it an octet truss, and by the physicist Nassim Haramein, who regards it as a basic structural building block of the universe. Created in Mathematica, thickened in Meshlab, with wires 1mm in diameter, it is printable in both plastics and many metals, including steel. This new model has thicker, stronger struts than the original model in the photo, which you can see got a couple of bent struts in transit.
