Sierpinski pyramid circumscribed by the globe. Points of tetrahedron "emerge" in Harar, Ethiopia; Anchorage, Alaska; Tucaman, Argentina; and Canberra Australia. Artist David Mclinn is placing the tips of this giant imaginary pyramid in each city, having already completed the pyramid in Harar. Both the hand-held sculpture and the actual pyramids are designed to help people develop their 3-D viewing skills, to experience the world more 3-Dimensionally. The artist's hypothesis is that methodical development and exercising of 3-D viewing capabilities will hasten mankind's evolution toward unity. He seeks through this enterprise to advance a "shared garden" model of civilization, so that the long-standing "military model" will be overtaken and obsoleted.
