GWR Searchlight gantry/bracket kit

This kit contains parts to make up a GWR 1930s colour light signal gantry or bracket similar to the types installed for the GRS signal installation at Bristol Temple Meads. There are sufficient parts to make up to six brackets or a gantry spanning up to four tracks, or a combination of brackets and smaller gantries. Signal heads will be required to complete the installation and these are available separately. Ladders are also required but cannot be printed in sufficient detail so are best obtained in etched brass. Railings need to be fabricated from wire. The cross beam can be cut to length to suit the location and blind holes are provided which can be drilled out to 2.5mm to take the masts which support the signal heads. Masts are provided to take a single head on a straight mast, a single head on a cranked mast (often fitted above a lower head on a straight mast) or two heads on cranked masts at the standard 5' spacing. Dummy connection boxes are also provided. Uprights can be trimmed down a little if required to suit the location. There is a 2.5mm hole in the top which can be pegged into the corresponding 2.5mm holes in the bottom of the cross beam
