Product Description
North Staffordshire Railway 10 ton Goods Brake Van, diagram 11, built c mid 1870s to early 1900s, single window type.
Model based on details in GF Chadwick (1993) "North Staffordshire Wagons" ISBN 1 874103 15 1, photo of no 60 built in 1874 and Stoke Works GA drawing dated 1888. Some of these vans lasted into LMS days post 1923.
The model shown in the photo is an example printed in FROSTED ULTRA DETAIL (FUD), but is an earlier version with roof and separate floor unit. Builder needs to add plastic or brass roof, 0.45mm wire for handrails and handbrake - handle is provided in correct position. Drill holes at dimples. Lamp irons could be made from FB strip, slots are provided. Floor is designed for MJT 00/EM/S4 W-iron units at 9’ 7” wheelbase. Fit grease or oil axleboxes, round base wagon buffers (not incl).
Livery: NSR = goods brown (suggest use GWR Indian Red). LMS = grey. Letters white.
