About this Product

DJI Phantom Mark-1 Landing Gear

Product Description:
Transform your DJI Phantom * with this great looking Mark-1 Landing Gear upgrade-kit.
It does not only look great, it has more open space on the front of the craft than ever before what makes this landing gear ideal for use with a gimbal.

Main Features:

Compatibility:
The Mark-1 is compatible with the following DJI Phantom models: 1, FC40, 2 and Vision.
In case of the Phantom 1 and FC40 and depending of your model version you need one, both or neither of the antenna mounts included in this set. You won't need the CAN-Bus Expansion Module Mount. In case of the Phantom 2 and Vision you only need one of the two Antenna Mounts included in this set and will have one spare.

What is included:
  • 2 - 3 gram Main leg frames for 6mm tubing
  • 2 - 2 gram Main feet frames for 6mm tubing
  • 4 - 1 gram Leg Ends (feet) for 6mm tubing
  • 1 - 1 gram Compass Mount for 6mm tubing
  • 2 - 1 gram Antenna Mounts
  • 1 - 1 gram CAN-Bus Expansion Module Mount

  • What is not included but required:
  • 6 - M3x6 screwsCheck your local DIY shop or check here on eBay.
  • 4 - 6mm Carbon or aluminum tubing ( I used 2x 160mm and 2x 220mm hollow 6mm tubing)
For 6mm hollow carbon fiber tubing check here on eBay.
For 6mm hollow aluminium tubing check your local DIY shop or eBay.
  • Small pieces of tape (for mounting the antennas on to the antenna mounts)

    • ?See video and photos above for an impression and building instructions.
    Additional comments:
    • For loosening and fastening the phantom compass don't use a screwdriver with a strong magnetic head!! And make sure that you mount the compass perpendicular to the body, in a vertical position for best flight performance. And don't forget to calibrate the compass after installation.
    • If you decide to go for the color white, than keep in mind that this color can become discolored over time (sun, dirt, touch etc.).
    * This Landing Gear is compatible with the DJI Phantom 1, FC40, 2 and Vision.

** The weight is based on a fully assembled landing gear on a DJI Phantom 2 consisting of 6 M3x6 screws, 2 vertical 160mm legs, 2 horizontal 220mm legs from hollow 6mm carbon tubing. The compass and CAN-Bus extension port are also included in the weight.
The same configuration only with aluminum tubing weighs 54 gram.
(not all parts mentioned above are included in this set, see "What is not included but required:")

@marekaniol1 I just use a metal saw for cutting carbon tubing. The height wil be +/- 135mm. 200mm horizontal legs will not be a big problem, but I have no experience with 180mm or less so that’s something you have to find out your self.

I heve 2 more questions: 1. How high is Phantom from the floor with 160mm vertical legs 2. Can i use shorten horizontal legs (200mm or 180mm) and dont lose stability to much?

Thank You. How can i cut tubes? Have you some special tool, blade or just normal for metal?
    July 25, 2014, 7:27 pm
@marekaniol1 Sorry din't see your first comment. I recommend 6mm tubing with a 4mm inner radius (1mm wall thickness) the length is customizable to your own preference.
