Product Description
4mm/ft model of the North Eastern Railway H class (LNER/BR Y7) 040T. This model is EM gauge, and includes a 3D printed chassis which only needs bearings (Romford 1/8" frame bushes), wheels (from Alan Gibson Workshops), pickups (from phosphor bronze wire) and coupling rods (Alan Gibson A1X Terrier rods cut in half), together with your choice of motor/gearbox (width between frames is 10mm). For the body you will need to get some handrail knobs (long and short), coupling hooks, NER or LNER pattern buffers (Alan Gibson Workshops), and smokebox dart (also Alan Gibson). You will also need a driver and fireman! clack valves and brake shoes are on sprues inside the chassis frames and should be applied once you've finished preparing the model's surface for priming. You will need some 0.5mm wire or rod to use for handrails and some 0.8mm brass wire for pipework. Instructions and Build Photos on my website: http://brackmodels.weebly.com/lner-y7-in-4mm-scale.html (this is for a 00 model, but the build process is exactly the same).
