The locking mechanism (really quite strong) The head only fits on one way and therefor comes off only one way... This makes sure that it won't come apart in wearing...

The piece held between my fingers in the same position it would rest if I had a model at the moment... I exerted extensible force on the hinge and it won't come apart in this position.
