I'm hoping that the little pressure at the joint will allow for it to maintain poses and hold weight

Great work! I ordered you design and played with it. The Hinge moves very smoothly, with a nice bit of friction to keep position. I love how minimal the rotation around all the axes other than the hinged axis is. Very impressed. Since the order volume is 1x element, but the renderings show 3 elements, it would maybe be a good idea to state that explicitly or use a different rendering.

I love it the structure is nice and i like the way you reinforced certain areas.... have you tried stress testing it ? it feels like the only failing point might be where the joints connect ... :)
