Product Description
This body is for an incarnation of the heavily rebuilt Kerr Stuart 'Haig' that once worked at the Penryhn quarries in Wales. Because of the height of the tanks of the Haig, the locomative was top heavy initially and tipped over, killing its driver. Not a great start to its working life. Afterwards, Sgt Murphy was rebuilt with a lower boiler and tanks and this is what the model represents. Of course since then, the locos were sold off after the quarries closure and Sgt Murphy was rebuilt once again as an 0-6-2 and now runs on the Teifi Valley Railway. This print is designed to fit the Roco N gauge BR80 chassis/Roco HOe Gauge 0-6-0 steam loco chassis with little modification to the bufferbeams. To model an accurate representation however, the front of the chassis beyond the cylinders will need to be removed to move the chassis to the correct place. Then fill in the remaining space between the bufferbeam and motor with plasticard. Please note, the photos of the completed model are provided by a customer, please check the other photos before ordering. The Penrhyn couplings in the customer photos are supplied by RT Models.
