Uranium chemistry is beautiful. This object is inspired in a new class of uranium oxide molecules discovered by Prof. Burns (U. Notre Dame, IN, USA) in 2005. Known as U24, this molecule is like a cage, which is built of six square rings and eight distorted hexagonal rings, so the same symmetry as an octahedron. It comprises 24 uranium atoms, 24 hydrogen atoms and 120 oxygens at each vertex in the wireframe mess. Printed in polished nickel steel, enjoy and use it as pendant or keychain.
