N Scale ColTainer Model used for coal and trash

N Scale 1:160 ColTainer model for use on www.nscalekits.com trash spine cars. These containers were originally used for hauling coal. In 1994 Norfolk Southern introduced this first intermodal system for carrying coal, with hundreds of these containers built by Galbreath. However, the experiment was not successful, and the service ended in early 1999. Many of the ColTainer containers ended up in trash train service - still carrying the ColTainer Service paint scheme! Some of the ColTainers are still in trash train service in 2014.. Decals for the ColTainers are also available from www.nscalekits.com
