This is a GoPro Hero 3/3+ case built to be light weight without sacrificing strength. No part of this case covers any lights, microphones, buttons or displays!

This case was made for charging while mounted and quick swapping mini SDs while taking long videos and time-lapses.

V3 Update: This case now supports external battery Back pack and LCD back pack! also there is now an added wall that connects the lens to the bottom of the case for extra rigidity and more stable video :)

@Mdnnickb Hello, I think I would be happy with a simple 'hook' system behind the gopro camera. I made a simple 3d model to show you what I had in mind. The battery-charger is not perfectly round, it's a hexagon shape and when you lay it down on the table, the diameter isn't 21,9 mm, but the other side of the hexagon is exactly that distance (don't know how to explain it otherwise haha). I think it would not be too expensive too in comparison with the current model ?

@Maiko80 oh cool, I have an external battery too. It's just like yours only it's by the company Halo. I'd be happy to design one for your charger. As far as I know the charger should fit with the current case. However I do understand that some chargers have thicker plastic around the plug in. What ever the case may be PM me the details and other info.

Hello, I'm very interested in this mount, but want to add something to it to store my external battery to it while making timelapses. Or could you make it for me and I will buy the next version of it ? :)

Updated version arrived, does a great job in the car as a dash cam mount. Many thanks.

@squish72 cool color choice! Under the visor sounds like a very unique shot. Have fun getting some good footage! :)

@squish72 hello there! I built the walls at 2mm thick. And the bottom of the case rests flush with GoPro mounts. So from the tip of a GoPro mount to the top of this case is 4.55 cm or 1 25/32 inches. Here is a picture of the case in a standard GoPro buckle mount:

Hi there, im looking for a case that is very short, meaning that it cant be very tall where it bolts to the mount. I was wondering how compact this case is. I plan to mount my gopro under my helmet visor and if its too tall it will affect my vision.

@Mdnnickb Hi Nick, that's good of you thank you - just send one - I can use one of the others when I'm static, but thank you. Barry.
February 26, 2014, 1:07 pm thanks you for your comments. I'm very sorry about the bouncing and other issues. I should not have left it for sale wile I was still prototyping. That was a mistake on my part. I would be happy to send you two fixed fitted and tested versions sense you purchased two. Thank you for your comment. Nick

Re my comment - I'm sure the frame will be fine for static uses, just not in a moving vehicle :(

Sadly while the frame does exactly as the description says, and all controls are accessible, there is a lot of movement between the bottom of the GoPro and the frame, just where the two lugs stick out. The frame flexes, so the camera appears to 'bounce' up and down when mounted in my car, so not much use for me I'm afraid.
