3 strand mobius spiral NO ball - Pendant 3d printed Art Jewelry Photo 2
Photo 2
  • Stainless Steel

    Bronze-infused stainless steel with visible print lines and rough feel.

This pendant features a mobius style spiral that can enclose a 6mm ball which jingles and jangles when worn.

If you'd prefer a right hand spiral, please see;

Shapeways have decided that this model is unprintable with the ball enclosed.
This model will take a 6mm steel ball which can be fitted by gently forcing open the spiral... see video.
A 5mm ball is available here; or simply use a suitable (4.5mm-6mm) ball bearing.

CM: 4.354 w x 4.354 d x 1.6 h

@captnKrunch1 and anyone else, the colour of the final print can vary from a silvery steel colour (as shown) through to a bright bronze colour - the variation is due to the print process

I got a message from the designer informing that this design is too fragile to work in silver (they tried). A shame :/

I love the design but be aware ... the color is bronze, not silver, as shown in the photographs. If you are doing this for a significant other, consider putting two balls in the raceway.

beautiful...the mobius spiral/strip gains its awe-inspiring power in that it is the physical manifestation of the paradoxical truth that simplicity and complexity require each other for life to exist...a common fault of mobius-inspired designs is that they are far too complex and ornate, thereby detracting from the inherently eternal and fluid movement that spirals around the piece. It is this eternal movement which we can see caught within the smallest of space-time localizations that illuminates many deeper aspects of life. And your piece expresses this with elegance and beauty.

I agree with the previous comment. I, too, would like it in silver.

Is the reason this is not available in silver, that there are interlocking parts? Would it be possible to make a version similar to the twin rail, that has some connections, so this could be also in silver? I like this design a lot more.
