@Cravin4Epicnes so is the one you uploaded to google sketchup warehouse one of the versions you tested? because thats the model I have. since I am new to 3d printers, I was trying to use a website where you upload the file to a part, say what material you want it to be, give the measurements, and so on. the problem im having with the old model is finding the measurements with sketchup, it says it is to scale, however when i measure it it comes out to like 39m wtf? meters?! that cant be right lol so I was wondering if you had the old measurements to each piece. also out of curiosity whats wrong with the walls being thin? Wouldn't that make it less cumbersome? I can see how it can effect the quality to a certain extent but not if you used a different material.

@kwvance Yes that was, but the ones on here are newer versions and I am trying to adjust them to the shapeways printing wall standards, tried to make walls thicker but yet maintain the nice size. I have tested previous versions but since I don't have a 3D Printer to use anymore I put it up on shapeways but I'd say that there would be flaws at where the spring would be held at and the locking mechanism... I don't wish to take this on any longer but you can if you want. I've been very busy lately that I haven't had the chance to fix this up. Oh yeah I would say 60-85 since it depends on the spring you could get but when I tested it on the software it worked perfectly. It's just the shapeways wall limit/thinness limit that had me to change it. It comes out at an alright paste, depends on wht spring you have for it.

This looks exactly like blueprints I found on the google sketchup warehouse. Was that you? If so are these blue prints newer or older than the ones I found on google sketchup? I am trying to print this model. You said u haven't tested it. Have you tested previous versions of this model? On a scale of 1-100 how sure r u that this model will work? If it does turn out to have flaws, which ones are they most likely to be and what could be done to the design to fix them? Also with how much force does the blade come out with?

@FEB500 hai thanks for stopping by, this project is pretty old but I believe the file is the plan or blueprint that you can print straight from a software. If you want to see if you can edit it or print it yourself I can send the file to you since I have no future plans to work on this because of work and finals in school. you can email me at xboxz113@gmail.com thanks.

There hasnt been a new version in awhile, is it a work in progress still? I still got my eyes on this.
March 3, 2014, 1:01 am
@TheGridGam3r not close... It's missing he spring but the walls are too thin, I haven't had the time to edit this model since there's the mid-terms and the state tests. I blame society :/
January 18, 2014, 2:38 am
Any closer? This will be a dual action hidden blade just missing the spring right?
January 18, 2014, 12:45 am
TO EVERYONE HERE, THE BLADE MAY BE BULKY, AND LONG BECAUSE OF PROTOTYPE, I WILL FIX IT BUT IT WILL BE HARD TO MAKE IT COMPACT AND SMALL DUE TO SHAPEWAY'S THIN WALL RULE CHANGING.
January 4, 2014, 6:31 pm
@TheGridGam3r it's more detailed in total... I'm guessing where the areas are thin and have no detail have detail and better detail all in all
December 24, 2013, 7:55 pm
@TheGridGam3r I've been working on it trying to enlarge it yet keep the models shape may be up by New Years due to how busy I am :/
December 24, 2013, 7:53 pm
We can't buy it due to the blade size, can you fix it?
December 24, 2013, 7:27 pm
Whats the difference between the detailed plastic and the strong and flexible? Is the detailed where its not flexible?

@j_rosario7 I actually can't check without the springs, because of the locking mechanism as a closed product, it has To have a spring and even I I try without, i may be an inch or two off if I measure without the springs :/ Can I get back to you in Jan with the details?
December 13, 2013, 12:05 am
Cravin4Epicness, thanks for the reply. how long is the finish blade? Extended and retracted
December 13, 2013, 12:00 am
@j_rosario7 and because of the shapeways limits, I had to adjust the size because of 3d printing issues, and the final May be bulky, I have no time to put it all together until January next year,
December 12, 2013, 11:58 pm
@j_rosario7 I've tested it, but I've had no time to order the spring and screws, I'll proabably have time to during the January break because of school, I'll get Back to you once I've completed the model
December 12, 2013, 11:56 pm
How big is the finished blade? Has any one tested this design?
