Osdas is a sliding-piece puzzle without a frame. Regular sliding piece puzzle, like the famous 15 puzzle
, have pieces sliding in a frame, such that they do not fall out. The Boomdas puzzle
is a 3x3 sliding puzzle from Japan has no frame, while the pieces still hold together. Boomdas has a cubic sibling called Muto Cube. More info here
. However, one can easily cheat with Boomdas (and Moto Cube) by sliding them apart and putting them back together.
Osdas is a frame-less sliding puzzle similar to Boomdas, but with a special "knucklehead
" mechanism with many layers
that prevents the pieces from coming apart. No cheating with this one!
