GER/LNER F4/F5 body (non-condensing) N Gauge

This model has been withdrawn temporarily. Despite having printed it successfully Shapeways have now decided it does not print reliably enough. Thickening the walls is unfortunately non trivial as it will then not fit the mechanism. The FUD versions are still available.

This is a single F4/F5 body in non condensing form with older style cab roof and safety valves but with tank fillers and coal rails. The 3D model is basically the same as used in the standard frosted ultra detail (FUD) version of the kit, with some tiny tweaks to make it printable for brass production, or if you really want in gold plated.

It fts a Dapol 14xx chassis with the real trimmed back and an additional axle of spoked wheels. You will also need coupling mountings of your choice. You should have some experience of modifying chassis before attempting this, and also be aware that the axles of the 14xx cannot reliably be removed and refitted. That is you need to trim the back of the chassis without dismantling first.
