Sugar Skull Mold

Sugar Skull Mold 3d printed Gadgets Maker/DIY
A mold for making sugar skulls - perfect for decorating the holidays. The sugar skull tradition comes from the Mexican Day of the Dead celebration. This mold has more detailed features than available anywhere else, perfect for decorating. Makes larger skulls that can be decorated with icing or food coloring for the true traditional experience. Fun, easy activity for the family.

For best results, use the ratio:
1 cup sugar
1 tsp meringue powder
1 tsp water

Which makes about 3 skulls. If you omit the meringue powder, the skull will be much less defined. Pack the skull firmly, then sharply rap the bottom against a cookie pan to release the skull. Wait 12-24 hours to let the skulls dry before handling and decorating. Full instructions and a video of the techniques here
