An abstract mix between the rigor of trigonometry and an organic voronoï coral-like tesselation. Spherocircles also exists in a redesigned larger version (20 cm) that can be used as a light shade or to beautify your favorite art objects

This surface comes from the exploration of so-called "tennis ball curves". A variety of such curves exist and this one uses very clean sections of circles obtained by intersecting six well chosen planes with a sphere.
