  • Additional comments:
    • For loosening and fastening the phantom compass don't use a screwdriver with a magnetic head!! And make sure that you mount the compass perpendicular to the body, in a vertical position for best flight performance.
    • If you decide to go for the color white, than keep in mind that this color can become discolored over time (sun, dirt, touch etc.).
    • For best flight performance I recommend you do a compass calibration after installing this upgrade.

I can not be held responsible for any kind of defects or damage that arise when performing this upgrade

@maikelsdesign Thanks for the fast response. I'm from the UK and going away in June and want them before then, will the legs in development be completed and shipped before then or shall I stick with your current legs?

@greeneagleking For both landing gears you need a screw driver to unlock the legs. The lock screws are optional tho so if you choose not to lock the legs you can easily attach / detach the legs without the need of tools. The down side of this is that the legs probably will get looser over time because of the wear and tear from attaching and detaching the legs, so it’s possible but at your own risk. I’m currently developing a version of the Mark-1 Landing gear where you can easily attach/detach the legs without the need of tools, but it will not be available in the very near future.

@maikelsdesign I'm looking for some retractable/easily removable legs. e.g. i can quickly remove the aluminum/carbon legs without having to get a screwdriver out. Can you quickly remove the legs on both the wide landing legs and fold able legs? if so what would you recommend ? :)

@camazar Shapeways.com is a 3D printing service so everything they make and sell on this website is produced by the latest and different types of 3D printing techniques, also finishing 3D printed parts (like coloring, polishing etc.) is labor intensive. Therefore the product prices are higher than conventional production techniques, like injection molding etc.. Check out there YouTube page to see how 3D printing works http://www.youtube.com/user/Shapeways

Can Some one please justify to myself how this plastic stuff can be sold for $40us.? It really can't be more then $20 I know I would buy lots of upgrades off this site if the Prices were more Realistic.!! Am I out to lunch here.?

@frankv3 The gear will fit but is nog yet compatible because the Phantom 2 nees a extra antenna mount and can-bus mount that are not in this upgrade. I'm working on a compatible version for the Phantom 2

Will this gear fit into the existing screw holes on a Phantom 2?

@Luhidan777 Check your local DIY store or eBay for 6mm aluminum or carbon tubing. For example here you can find carbon tubing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/221216654200?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

@maikelsdesign Where could I find these bars
    January 6, 2014, 2:13 pm
@Luhidan777 If you mean that the aluminum or carbon tubing is not included than that is correct, those are not included as stated in the description.
    January 6, 2014, 1:05 pm
I've purchased these pieces, but reached without bars
    January 6, 2014, 12:01 pm

    October 15, 2013, 4:15 pm
