@Marius Have you thought about placing the drive gear to one side, thereby allowing one of the main gears to drive the other? By the way, there is a type of geneva mechanism that creates alternate, rather than intermittent, motion. I wish I remembered where I found it, as incorporating it into your design would allow the whole thing to be gearless.

@SteampunkKAJA I think the design would need to be refined as well. Currently the design is symmetrical, which lets it work both ways, but this means that it often jams. If the design was asymmetrical it might run more smoothly. I haven't looked into the best way to make it asymmetrical though.

If you made the clearances smaller and printed this out of ultra detail plastic, do you think it would be possible to motorise this device?
