Replacement 2mmFS Terrier Gears With Muffs

These gears with muffs are meant as replacements for the gears in the Dapol N gauge Terrier locomotive for those wishing to convert to 2mm finescale standards using the method described in the December 2011 edition of the 2mm Scale Association Magazine. The article in the magazine says to take the Dapol gears from the axles, and open out the holes to fit a bogie wheel muff. Doing this without the hole drifting off centre is difficult. I therefore created a gear and muff as a single unit, with concentricity pretty much guaranteed.The waxy residue from printing acts as lubricant. I do not know how they will wear, or stand up to prolonged use, but there are 12 in a set and only 3 are required for a single Terrier conversion. For alternative uses, the gears are 8.4mm diameter, have 26 teeth and fit a 1.5mm diameter axle. I recommend Frosted Ultra Detail.
