This sleeve is meant to slide over the focus ring on the Fuji X100 and X100S. It gives you a larger surface to grip when you are adjusting the manual focus of the camera. There is also an alternate model that includes a Leica style focus tab which helps in quickly fine tuning a manual focus. For that part, go here: https://www.shapeways.com/model/1382490/fuji-x100-focus-ring-sleeve-with-focus-tab.html?li=my-models&materialId=25 NOTE: Due to variability in the finishing process, a small piece of tape may be required on the inside of the ring to ensure a tight fit.

@Factor7 I've been using mine with the lens hood without any issues. Maybe try pushing the towards the camera a little more?

Got mine a few months ago, glad I bought it. Have one caveat, though - can anyone use the lens hood with the focus sleeve? I can't seem to manage both attached at the same time...

@psartman Thanks for the feedback! You make a great point. I'll try it out.

A suggestion for the version with the tab- the tab edges are too pointy and not comfortable under the finger. I trimmed the tips off of mine (touched up with black paint.) Look at photos of the Leica Summicron tab, if you haven't already. It either has a larger radius or a shorter profile, but it fits the finger perfectly. By the way, I love your X100 focus ring!

@Schnickerbocker Thanks. I will report back after I try it with a tape

Hi Messay As noted in the description, you'll have to add a small piece of gaffer tape to get a snug fit. It is impossible to design a part to have zero tolerance. If you have any more difficulty getting the ring on, let me know. Otherwise, I invite you to leave some feedback after you've had a chance to use part.

I just received mine to use on my x100s. It's a no go. Unlike everyone else in the comments section mine is too big to fit tightly over the focus ring. Not worth the $20

@Schnickerbocker From Shapeways customer service, "it also tends to fall on the designers to provide information regarding intended usage. This is why we also list on our Terms & Conditions under the Warranty section that "Shapeways warrants only that the model manufactured by us will substantially meet the features of the indicated 3D model within the limitations of the 3D printing technology." And from the designer, Schnickerbocker, "The finishing on these parts out the printer seem to add a bit of variability that is beyond my control." I realize 3D manufacturing is in its infancy, but good business practices have been around a long time. Clearly, there is a disconnect between the design of this product and the manufacturing process. The concept of the sleeve for use on the focus ring of the Fuji X100S is quite logical, however, the product needs to have some flexibility or it requires a precision manufacturing process. Neither applies to this product. The designer suggested a light sanding. I tried it but was still faced with forcing the sleeve on my camera. This camera is a sophisticated and precision-manufactured device. I am not going to do any more forcing of the sleeve on the lens. I have decided to spray the Shapeways Sleeve a cheery red color and hang it on my holiday tree. It will make a nice ornament and talking point, as well as a good lesson in online shopping. Thanks, Mike Lloyd

@michaellloyd Sorry to hear you had a bit of trouble with yours. The finishing on these parts out the printer seem to add a bit of variability that is beyond my control. Fortunately yours is on the tight side. A (very) light sanding on the inside will allow for a snug fit. The beveled side goes toward the camera. See the photos above.

This is extremely tight to install, especially risky on a $1300 camera. There are no directions provided and one side of the ring is bezeled differently from the other. It also seems to interfere with the operation of the lens hood.
