Product Description
Children's swings, 8 scale feet high, two seats, for a kids playground diorama or model train layout, in HO scale (1:87).
Available as part of the Kid's Playground, HO Scale set. If you need a large number (10+) of just this item, please "contact designer" at the top of this page.
Underneath the model, 4 breakaway pins of 5 mm length each are provided, for ease of mounting onto your layout. If those pins are not needed, they can be easily snapped off.
All "metal" parts are rounded, to be totally child-safe.
The model requires painting to suit your layout. For ease of handling, the two seats are attached to the underside of the swing frame by sprues, and need to be cut away with a sharp blade. The sprue attachment points may be sanded, though that isn't strictly necessary, because the sprue location is on the underside of both frame and seats. Once the seats are separated out and painted as desired, hang each seat from the top bar with sewing thread through the provided notches on each corner. The top bar has grooves for the thread to pass over, so the swings will not shift sideways if jostled.
Recommended material: White Strong and Flexible.
Will print well in other plastics as well as silver and gold-plated brass: Care has been taken to keep all features thick enough as per ShapeWays design specifications.
