See my New Spring Loaded Dice:
Spring-loaded 30-sided die.
Spring-loaded Icodie.
Spring-loaded die.

• I made this exclusively, from scratch, for a very smart guy who, for posterity, quietly collects all my die designs; I wish he'll make a good fortune out of them, long before I dice :-)
• Has "OPRESCO FECIT FOR COOK - A.D. 2010" inscription on one of the inside faces. I hope he's rich enough so he could afford ordering 2 sets and UPS me one, with his autograph on it :-) And Kevin, if you do, please mention on your order (in bold lettering) that the captive RHOMBIDIE® should be free to move around at will, inside! :-)
• Note: In the 1980's, I've been exploring the duality of Polyhedra while making a series of polyhedral sculptures; I've developed, then, an unique method/theory/theorem on building Platonic and Archimedean Polyhedra out of scrap metal offset plates (to this day, my favorite material for building all kind of models by hand) and machine screws by strictly using only conventional (at the time) drafting tools: (T-square, Triangles, Compass, Protractor, Trigonometer) and an E-Xacto knife. All geometric art seen in my shop is the spin-off of that hands-on research and work; for more info see
• Keep an eye for the soon to be released 30 faceted RHOMBICTRIACONTAHEDIE® with Roman numerals on it :-)

You could make a double or triple 6 side dice set in a cage that would be good for playing dice games in places where you could otherwise easily lose the dice, such as at sea, or in a home with a small child who could otherwise swallow them.

• OK, if you really like it, then we're in a completely different ball park! Therefore I just removed my mark-up on it until tomorrow, when I'll remove this horrible contraption altogether from the public's view :-) • If you can afford it now, get it at least in White Strong and Flexible (and Krylon® spray-paint it in Dull Aluminum or Gold, that's what I'd do) because, in fact, I meant it to be my friendly gift to you :-) P.S. Would you please comment here after you do, so I know you did, because Shapeways don't email for freebies :-)

It is a very nice contraption though :)

Unfortunately even the White Strong and Flexible is a bit out of my price range :(
