For airport modelers who use 1:400 scale: A RADAR platform in two parts, such that the RADAR antenna assembly can be made to rotate. If rotation is not required, simply glue the upper assembly to the conveniently provided matched slot in the deck section.
The deck also has a rectangular cut-out for technicians to climb through for repairs and maintenance, and a central circular cut-out for a drive rod if you want to animate the RADAR antenna's rotation.
The model does not include the cylindrical tower such RADAR platforms are usually mounted on, because that would make the 3-D print job unnecessarily expensive. Simply add your own tower, for instance a cardboard cylinder.
If the RADAR antenna is to be motorized, a brass or steel rod of diameter anywhere between 1mm and 2.2mm can be fitted to the upper part, which has an internal slot of conical shape, to provide a snug fit for the drive rod. Underneath the platform, the drive rod can be fitted with a suitable spur gear or worm gear driven by a small motor, or directly driven by a servomotor.
