Articulated rhinoceros beetle, modeled after the Japanese Allomyrina dichotoma. The legs and head are all jointed.

The rhinoceros beetle, like its relatives, spends most of its life as a white grub, living in and eating rotting wood and other organic matter. After reaching a large size, it pupates and emerges as an adult to mate and lay eggs. The males are known for fighting each other for mates. These large insects are commonly kept as pets in Japan.
