About this Product

This beetle model has 17 points of articulation in its legs, head, antennae, and jaws. The jaws are geared together in such a way that they open and close in unison.

Stag beetles are found around the world, and named after their large formidable mandibles. Despite their appearance, they are quite docile, and usually only use their jaws to fight each other for mates and territory.

Hi 3dada, the joints are a bit more loose and flexible, but when it's resting on the table, it's easy to position the legs and jaws. They're designed with the minimum shapeways gap for the nylon material. I hope this helps, Brian

Brilliant models. Just curious about the joints - when you pose the beetle are the joints able to hold that position (ie Do you use the tolerences shapeways suggest and then the granular nature of the material is enough to create enough friction to hold positions) or are they more loose and flexible?
