Version 2.0

This is the basic kit for an articulated tail for TFP: BH Ultimate Predaking figure! It consists of 7 segments joined together via ball joints to provide incredible amounts of flexibility. It attaches like the original via 5mm peg on the rear end of Predaking's beast mode, and can be held in his hand in bot mode as a savage whip. Extra effort is made to ensure this model is as accurate to the show as possible.

This latest version features redesigned joints that are extremely sturdy. The entire tail is able to hold its entire weight aloft with minimal sagging.

This is the standard version, measuring over 20cm long! In comparison the original tail was only 16 cm in length. To lengthen it even more, you can check out this extension upgrade.

This model has been successfully tested in White Strong Flexible, and I highly recommend this material. Strong Flexible materials that undergo polishing (like WSFP and the coloured variants) might suffer from loose joints, however.

Ahh! Nevermind, just noticed Black SF Polished is not an option at all! Hmm... what polished color do you recommend?

The set looks excellent (extension as well). No Black Strong and Flexible Polished available? Seems like the black is the way to go for the figure to minimize painting.

@madpropps Thanks for your encouragement! I'll do my best!

@fakebusker83 Yes sir. I sent it back for a credit. Just ordered a new one along with Snitch (been wanting to get that guy for a while!) I ordered Snitch is the white polished. See if it looks any better when I paint it. You do awesome work man! Keep it up!

@madpropps Ah..I see. You mean you sent the piece back to them? Good to know you have a credit in return. Let me know how it turns out!

@fakebusker83 So I kind of forgot about this. Shapeways took the piece back and gave me a credit I think. I'm going to re order it.

@fakebusker83 I guess I will put this into my to-do list and get all the upgrades in one go.

Hi @Xephon0930 , presently I am unable to do that due to polycount and build size limits. That is also one of the reasons why I split the model up into two sets.

Is there going to be a bundle set for the tail and the extensions?
November 5, 2013, 2:42 pm
@fakebusker83 thx, I see your idea now so if there are two piece which both have 2/2 will mean they are the same size and there is order between them. cool, going to assamble them now:)

@Leoyin it's a little tough for me to do that as I'm overseas right now. Just lay them out in a straight line and ensure the numbers match. Those pieces with different numbers (2/3) are 'step down' pieces, meaning they are suppose to transition to a different sized piece. It's pretty straightforward and I know you can handle it. :)

@fakebusker83 thanks, i ve noticed them as well, some place its 3/3, 2/2 or even 2/1, little unsure if i can manage it. is it possible you can put bottom view of an assambled tail(include the extensions) her?? thanks in advance

Hi @Leoyin , first off ensure the chevrons at the bottom of each piece match before putting them together. I admit it is a little tough to pop the balls into the sockets, but that is necessary to ensure tightness of the joints. Regarding breakage, if you are using strong flexible material and assemble them correctly, they shouldn't break as the material is very strong.

Hi @madpropps , it might be so that pieces might be wrong. As I mentioned, a good guide is to see if the number of chevrons on the bottom of the pieces match up. 3 to 3, none to none, etc. If it's confirmed there are wrong pieces let me know which parts (by the number of chevrons) and the quantity, and I'll see what I can do to help.

Hej @fakebusker83 I just got both set yesterday, tried a bit to assamble. But it seems the ball joint is a bit too bigger than the packs, shall i just press it hard into the parcks, hope it wont break...... plus, do you have an instruction for assamling .....
October 4, 2013, 9:13 am
@fakebusker83 Thanks for the info. I was going to try the coating method but they are really loose. I did pay close attention to the placement of each. the package did not include install instruction. Also the other stuff I have got from you all came pieced together like a model kit and these were not. So I'm wondering if I got miss match pieces from Shapeways.

Hi @madpropps , sorry to hear you are facing these problems. First, just give it a check that everything is assembled correctly. There are markings (or lack of) that you can use to match the pieces. If they are just slightly loose, try coating both balls and inside of the sockets to firm them up. The smaller joints tend to get worn down faster due to smaller volume. Understand that joints will wear down over time as well, especially for uncoated wsf surfaces.

Hey I got this in the mail today. Ordered it in Black Fine and Flexible. After I pit it all together the end of the tail and the next part up from there are very loose. I did notice the pag hole is smaller on those 2 then the rest of the tail. Anything you can do?

@shauni55 , the Target-exclusive figure IS the "Ultimate" Beast Fire Predaking. This kit is designed for that figure specifically.
September 7, 2013, 8:15 pm
@fakebusker83 Oh no, it's huge roughly 11-12" tall and wingspan of about 27"
September 4, 2013, 6:35 pm
Hi @shauni55 , what size class is that Target Exclusive? Isn't it the same as regular Beast Fire Predaking?
September 4, 2013, 5:23 am
Can you please resize this/edit it to fit the target exclusive predaking?
September 3, 2013, 8:19 pm
very very awesome!
