Description

Just when I found this unused and broken robotic arm, I heard about Shapeways, so I decided to model a better design with Blender and replace the broken parts with 3D printed plastic !

This time I got the normals right :-)

May I ask what exactly a robotic clamper is?

andre.bois (31 Jul 2008 19:52):

I had a hard time finding a english version of the french "pince robotisée", so the may be something better.
This model is a re-conception of one of the red parts here :
http://www.ac-grenoble.fr/si/site_si_v2/systemes/robotyoupi/images/pages/Pince_jpg.htm
The original conception was particularly fragile, and breaks frequently.

I just received it in "White, Strong & Flexible" : very nice details !

andre.bois (8 Aug 2008 00:09):

I got the "Cream Robust" too. More detailed than I expected.

Awesome!
