Solhanna is a legendary figure in Rhunnish culture, one who fiercely defended the powerless from the onslaught of the inquisition, which had been burning peasant women at the stake for witchcraft. Some claimed she was an angel of vengeance, the ghost of a woman burned at the stake by her own husband, who chose not to even entertain the idea of her innocence. Others believed that she was actually an immortal snow-nymph wearing enchanted armour that protected her during summer months. Solhanna's armour bore this symbol, she was known to wield throwing stars in the exact same shape, and the tsuba of her katana was a more ornate version of this same design. Since all stories about her are consistent only in that Solhanna never once spoke, her true motives were never known. In any case, her existence was the only comfort that peasants had when caught under tyrannical rule.
