Replacement Head & neck for TFP voyager Predaking.

Adds articulation to the neck and more show accurate dragon head sculpt.

The holes that the fangs plug into need to be properly cleaned out of residual material, if any, before assembly. if the fang pegs are too big, widen the tiny slot in the middle and sand the outside a little. gently push the peg in and rotate back and forth, it should "pop" in place after pushing in some distance and then it's never coming out again! so make sure the right fang gets put in the right spot!

Update 22 Oct 2013: Version 3. Minor change in the design of the sockets on the neck joints so it is now deeper. Added more material around the socket as well so hopefully all will be well now.

Version 1: Everything printed fine.
Version 2: Minor adjustments made to base neck piece for better fit. Fangs thickened to survive polishing.

Version 3 Client Tested. Didn't get complaints...

My Predaking. Do you like it?

I purchased the voyager predaking parts. Are you planning to make the hands and robot head? At least the robot head because the original is very ugly. Looking forward to assemble the Dragon Parts.

@NickSandwich white strong flexible.
February 27, 2014, 9:01 am
@Incedius Ah ok. Thanks for the warning. So what would be the ideal material for the predaking head/tail? Along with painting it as well.
February 27, 2014, 8:06 am
@NickSandwich i wouldn't recommend printing anything that requires a degree of flex(like joints) in detailed plastic because detailed plastic is a lot more fragile and breaks easily if stressed in a wrong way.
February 27, 2014, 6:43 am
Hello. I was wondering what the "detail plastic" quality is like. Most 3D printed products i've purchased are very fragile and nearly impossible to paint. Would this option print in actual plastic? As i've seen some 3D printed things have been like that recently.

@ScoutBumblebeePRIME those are for ultimate predaking. No intentions to make them for the voyager yet.that head is a test piece I did quite a number of months ago. It was never released because there were too many modifications that needed to be made to the main body for it to work. The first version of the hands are available but because some work needs to be done for it to fit properly, it's under revision atm

Here is a picture of the hand and I found out that the original head/face slides from the body
January 3, 2014, 10:55 am
I found the assembly for the head/face and the hand for Predaking. Is it possible to make both of them for the voyager Predaking.
January 3, 2014, 10:49 am
Do you have any plans to make the head in robot mode?
January 3, 2014, 10:24 am
@ScoutBumblebeePRIME not sure what you mean. I don't recall using any glue for assembly on this kit so everything should disassemble properly if you're careful. If you mean the part where the neck meets the body, it slides in from the side just like the original head so it can easily be removed. @dragosaurus101 sorry it took me so long to reply, I don't have any plans for that at the moment
January 1, 2014, 5:40 am
@Incedius quick question can the neck joint be unpegged?
January 1, 2014, 5:36 am
@Incedius could you make one if your not working on anything a two headed and a three headed version?
December 20, 2013, 8:04 am
@dragosaurus101 Not with this kit alone. I believe if you got 2 of these and made some custom part to make use of the shoulder pegs for the shoulder launchers, you can. maybe even 3 headed
December 20, 2013, 4:15 am
Is there a way to connect two of the head and neck assembly to the predaking body?
December 20, 2013, 3:41 am
@ScoutBumblebeePRIME oh wow sorry I just saw this. Yes you can get contact info of shapeways on the forums
December 13, 2013, 3:05 pm
@Incedius is there a way to contact shapeways?
November 30, 2013, 4:04 am
how is it in transparent ?
November 28, 2013, 6:36 pm
@ScoutBumblebeePRIME I honestly have no idea. That's 100% up to shapeways. It usually takes more than 2 weeks to get it after placing your order.
November 28, 2013, 2:29 am
@Incedius. I am wondering how long with it take to get to Las Vegas with 4 parts for my beast king?
November 28, 2013, 2:03 am
@ScoutBumblebeePRIME i would suggest that you wait for me to be done with the update before buying anything. Currently busy with my day job but I'll try to get it done before black friday. Hopefully shapeways will have a sale then =)
October 21, 2013, 2:53 pm
I was going to buy the head+neck after my exam from school, but I just found out that the ball joint of the neck isn't tight enough. While I wait for the update, I will try to buy the tail and shield for my beast king and to me it's like Project Predacon.
October 21, 2013, 10:27 am
@Incedius Thx. The set i bought cant be assambled, i Will wait to get the updated version.
October 19, 2013, 8:29 pm
@Leoyin I'll look into it. Seems like I got lucky with my test print but for some the balls on the neck are not turning out tight enough.
October 19, 2013, 7:19 pm
The Ball joint of the neck and head are impossible to assamble, the packs are not deep enough to hold the Ball joint. Plz revise Them to either the balljoint as tail sword or Those form you ult predaking. Thx
October 19, 2013, 5:21 pm
Is the price going to be cheaper on black Friday?
October 19, 2013, 2:21 pm
I'll order and test the WSF Polished. I'd rather use a little glue to tighten something that is loose instead of spending hours to sand stuff down. As usual, I'll send pic's to Incedius when its all painted. Looks like 11 parts total. (1 head, 1 lower jaw, 1 left big fang, 1 right big fang, 3 big neck vertibrae, 3 small neck vertibrae, 1 neck-to-body vertibrae adapter-plug)
September 29, 2013, 11:17 pm
@fabiomicallef BSF is just WSF dyed black by shapeways so it's safe to order in that. I don't have skystalker and grimwing so no plans for that at the moment =)
September 19, 2013, 1:14 pm
Is there a possibility for robot heads for skystalker and grimwing? i m looking foward to purchase the voyager prdaking parts.... is it safe to purchase black strong and flexible? or only WSF are tested
September 19, 2013, 1:02 pm

@ScoutBumblebeePRIME this is only the head and neck.
September 11, 2013, 4:44 am
Does it come with the tail or separated?
September 11, 2013, 1:37 am
@Incedius Oh fantastic, thanks for the heads up. :)
August 22, 2013, 3:38 pm
@HornetPrime I amin fact doing the tail too but it will only be a scaled up version of my voyager tail with a new connector to fit the ultimate figure. @fakebusker83 is doing a show accurate version of the tail and it looks really good! info here:
August 22, 2013, 3:32 pm
@Incedius Sweeeeet :) Cos I was kinda disappointed with the official figure. PLEASE tell me you're doing the tail too.
August 22, 2013, 3:28 pm
@HornetPrime test prints for the ultimate version are actually being printed now =D.
August 22, 2013, 3:25 pm
If this were scaled up for the Ultimate version, I would be all over this...
August 22, 2013, 3:17 pm
@Lilscotty thanks! show accurate voyager robot head may happen. ;P
August 16, 2013, 5:33 am
