I was very pleased with how well this model came out. All the pieces fit together perfectly.
The KV-5 was one of many experimental projects out of the Kirov plant that were cancelled when the Wehrmacht attacked Leningrad. No prototype of the KV-5, a.k.a. "object 225" was ever built. However, it would have been classified as a super-heavy tank, thanks to its estimated weight of 100 tonnes. This model includes 107 mm and 122 mm main guns as well as rotating machine gun turrets. By the way, this model is not as accurate as I would like it to be, since I did not have the best drawings to work with and I had to adjust the feature sizes to allow for 3D printing. In addition, I noticed a significant design flaw of the KV-5 itself: the turret does not rotate 360 degrees! This problem I shall correct in one of my own designs.
