The Ripple Stacked Rings

The Ripple Stacked Rings are a series of three rings intended to be worn together, stacked on one’s finger. The set of three compose an image of ripples in water, offset from one another. This interlocking geometric nature allows for the rings to nestle into one another as they hold onto your finger. The bands of The Ripple Stacked Rings flatten out on the inside surfaces of the rings for maximum comfort - while smoothing out as they transition to the upper surface, for a seamless material appearance.

These soft interlocking forms are further articulated with pinched edges and inset grooves. This causes light to reflect of the geometry’s surface in a more dynamic way, attracting the gaze of neighbors. Each material on Shapeways will affect these surface articulations slightly differently – the reflective will materials will dazzle in the light.

Alternatively, The Ripple Stacked Rings could also be spread out over three different fingers. Each ring is unique from the other two, but the visual commonality in their geometric logic allows the set to read a cohesive family. By spreading them apart, viewers will be able to focus their gaze at the rings one at a time.

Each ring in the set is a size 7 [United States and Canada] (or size N ½), measuring .682” (12.32 mm) diameter and 2.14” (54.4 mm) interior circumference. However, because of their twist and disconnect at the top, all of the rings are a bit adjustable. Please message me if you would like to order a different size.
