About this Product

CitiBike Cup Holder. CitiBikes have made our commute in NYC better: any time you need a bike, its there for you! We set out to improve your commute even more by designing a removable cup holder for the CitiBike front rack. It holds itself in place like a clothesline pin, and the elastic band on the front of the rack adds extra security. Carry hot coffee, Iced coffee, lemonade, or many other drinks. In the spirit of sharing, leave it on the bike for the next rider, or throw it in your bag and take it with you! Available in classic White and CitiBike Blue.

@svenvanderhart - I completely agree. I've just uploaded a bike D-lock holder design, which needs to hold and brace against significantly more weight and movement, and it's come in at just over 60$ but is completely stable. I'm still learning about how to hollow models properly, and it's definitely not something everyone knows how to do, but I'll soon be looking at reducing the cost in clever ways, and I'd be happy to collaborate and share expertise if it leads to a more mass customisable, personalised and affordable product. Design should be inclusive, not exclusive, that's the whole point.

Couldn't you make the print cheaper by hollowing out the handle? It doesn't need to be a solid piece of plastic. It's otherwise a very expensive cup holder. Also I wonder if this is stable enough when the cup is full? Can't you make the handle shorter to clip around the bar? Maybe add wings as well? Give it a character by shaping it as an airplane? Just some ideas.
