** My Entry into the Co-Creator Contest **
Breastplate armour changed over the centuries from practical life-saving neck and full-torso armour to its modern day incarnation as fashionable jewellery.
Designed to be worn at chest level (hence the name!) this piece could be strung with leather or chain. The official name for this piece of armour was a Gorget.

Note: I have deleted this as a co-creator item due to the large variance in material volume depending on what design the buyer created inside the perimeter. It can now be bought in the design shown and if you have a particular design in mind please contact me.

This was entered in the Co-creator contest for May '10. Shapeways for some odd reason made the entrants' design their model so it fit in a price range of $25 - $60 - but they did NOT say in what material that was! I designed this to be made in Stainless Steel as the optimum material (although I'm sure it's just as good in WSF or White Detail) but in my original smaller size in WSF the piece was too cheap! I have therefore had to up the size to 14cm wide in order to increase the price. This made the Stainless Steel price now $270 !! Please be aware that after the contest I will be reducing the size of this piece to about 8cm to lower the price. (So, if you REALLY want this at 14cm I guess now is your time to buy it!)
