Design study for a heavy fighter from 1935 that would have been armed with four 20mm cannons in two turrets. This model is of an early draft, later versions had slightly different proportions and would have been fitted with more powerful engines. Unlike the Boulton Paul Defiant the E 500 can fire forwards as the twin engine configuration allows both turrets to engage targets in front of the aircraft.
The spherical recess underneath the model is for a 6mm BB.
