The d3wey "Frame'ish" is my take on GoPro's version. It uses the same prinicpal. The nylon material is elastic enough to fit tightly without warping. It really is a perfect fit. This weighs just 4 grams and allows access to all buttons. It was made for use on my DJI Phantom but can be used for many other uses and is a LOT cheaper than having to buy the genuine item. In this current revision the camera can now fit either way giving access to the shutter button in either orientation (so you don't have to fiddle with up/down settings). There is a stronger bracket and small cut outs to allow large Mini USB plugs to fit. *** - Please Note - *** As with any Shapeways product please be aware of what you are buying. This is a custom designed part not mass produced. It has a slighty rough finish (but nothing that will scratch items). I make every effort to test all my designs but I regret manufacturers do change their products from time to time. If in doubt please contact me.

@klbehnin Thank you ever so much for taking the time to give such detailed feedback. Sorry to hear you had to drill out the hole a bit. It is interesting that you did because mine, while snug, slipped through fairl easily but it might just be a tolerance in the printing. I will adjust the design so it is a little easier in the future. The record button top and bottom is something i've been planning on doing (just needed to find the time) but I will put this in place ASAP. Likewise I will be releasing vervisions for the touch screen bacpac and (old style silver) battery bacpac soon. If they are popular I will buy a new style battery bacpac and do one for that too. Thanks again for the feedback.... happy flying!

I bought 2 of the black version. I'm using it on the DJI Phantom. I'm using the aluminum bolt and nut that came with the phantom, and I had to bore out the Frame'ish through holes a bit, which was a bit risky in that the drill bit grabbed a few times, but I managed to not damage either Frame'ish in the process. The phantom bolt is a bit larger in diameter than the standard GoPro mounting bolt. I really like the black version and am happy that I chose to get it. I decided to mount my GoPro (Hero 3 Black) right-side-up in the Frame'ish, ie. with the top of the GoPro toward the mounting bolt just so I don't have to continually flop the recorded image in the GoPro setup menu, since I use the GoPro for many other applications. As such, I'd recommend duplicating the large "record" button circle on the diagonal placement so the user can use the Frame'ish in either orientation. It does work as is, you can use the "record" button through the small holes, but I can tell that the button is in a partial press state and wonder if a certain vibrational anomaly might press the button mid-flight to stop the recording. Yeah, so I'm overall very pleased with the design and lightness of the Frame'ish. The fit is nice and tight. Literally like a glove. It offers good access to the battery compartment and side buttons and connectors. I note that the bacpac port is covered, but I don't use that interface, so I don't have an issue with that. Thanks for doing your design and making it available! It does just what I need it to.
