Please notice: This is the small Espresso size version of my Secret Heart Cup. Please look here for the regular Coffee Cup or the extra large Coffee Mug. Beside their size, the coffee and espresso cups look identical. The mug has the same diameter as the coffee cup but the typical higher shape. For size comparison please see picture above.

I designed this Espresso Cup as a surprising gift for your darling and loved ones, perfect for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and those rare unique occasions, when you want to show somebody with a truly happy smile on your face, for whom your heart beats.

The idea itself is not new, but unlike many similar designs, this cup does not unveil its inner secret already on first sight. Outside it has the round and rolling surface of a classical Espresso Cup which rests smoothly in your hand, seducing with its thin edge to slowly sip and enjoy the smell and taste of fresh coffee – while only nip by nip -- the cup's inner shape gently morphs and discloses its charming hidden heart. ... Your heart!

The inner volume of the cup is about 60 ml (2 oz) from top to bottom, just the right size for Espresso. I made this smaller dimension cup to keep it affordable for everybody in love and gratefulness, as an individually 3D-printed present, but it's also available as normal size Coffee Cup or extra large Coffee Mug.

Hope this is something of the kind you are looking for and that the dream that you dream while searching for something “with a heart” will come true!

Kind regards
- Sven

P. S. Just for sure, this individually 3D-printed offering only includes the Espresso Cup. The gold plated saucer and milk jug, the Theresienthal rummer ("Römer" wine glass), the little silver case and the wienna "Franz Kutchera" baby grand (pinao) remain part of my small beloved collection of antique arts. I just love the marriage of +100 years old and modern work of arts. Hope you enjoy the photos I took. :-)

@wiebus yeah i think double in size would be fine. I bought this gift for a relative, I don't drink espressos myself so I'm not really sure what size would be best. Thank you for the design!

@vyky4 Thank you for your nice comment! Currently there are two lager sizes on my shop, the "coffee cup" and the "coffee mug" (see attached picture). One thing that I would really like Shapeways to improve is the ability to allow models been scaled directly by end users to fit their special needs. Other 3D print services provide this feature already. As long as such feature is not available on Shapeways I can offer to generate and upload more discrete cup sizes. What size do you think would best meet double espresso? - Double inner volume or even a bit more? - Equal scaling in all dimensions (i.e. ~1.26 x diameter and hight to double volume) --> This would be almost identical to the "coffee cup" (~1.31 x diameter and hight of the espresso cup, see comparison chart) - Different scaling of diameter and hight, i. e. looking more like the mug, just smaller? Regards Sven

Smaller than I was expecting but didn't pay mind to the dimensions listed. My mistake! But I do think it should be a tad larger or sold in multiple sizes since some people drink double espressos. Aside from that, made well, shipped just fine, love it! First but not last purchase from Shapeways.

@danieljchamberlin Ok, last attempt to get this sentence right "[..] and a target price of less than 30 Euro per item [..]" :-)

@danieljchamberlin Typo, of course it should read "[..] and a target price of

@danieljchamberlin You mean reminiscent of your hidden heart espresso cup design? That's true! I first stumbled upon a "hidden heart" cup on Aliexpress some month ago and liked the idea, but this was a normal size coffee mug which I found too big and too straight-lined for a romantic gift. So I started to design my own version of a coffee cup (not a mug) which printed nicely on my Ultimaker but showed a sobering price tag when I uploaded the model to Shapeways to get one printed in ceramics. Even down scaled to Espresso size it was far beyond what I was willing to pay for a single cup. While comparing it to other less expensive Espresso cups on Shapeways I found your design which I like much. But I wanted the heart shape being visible only on the inside, not on the outside of the cup as well, and a target price if >30 € per item. So I started all over again with a different CAD program to have more sophisticated free-form modeling options available then I had before and created the 3D model above which has a normal round outer shape, the hidden heart inside, the inner volume for a regular Espresso and a small surface area to reduce 3D printing costs. However, I also like your design, as it looks more stylish.

Hmm, this seems oddly reminiscent.
