Reading N Scale SD45 Cab And Hood

This cab is a direct replacement for the cab on Kato's N scale SD45. This cab is an accurate model of the cabs that the Reading railroad used on their SD45s. These units had dual control stands that required the front of the cab to be extended eleven inches. To install, simply remove the Kato cab, cut of the short hood, and glue the new cab in place. This cab includes printed holes for grab irons, and windshield wipers, both can be purchased from BLMA. The windows will also accept the Kato glass, however the front windshield will require the number boards to be removed.
