About this Product

I present the T-Bar hex bit driver tool, a commissioned piece for JLara.

It's features include:
A prying tip,
An in-line 1/4" hex bit driver,
4 more 1/4" wrench or hex bit drive points,
Various other wrench sizes:
    3.2mm,
    4mm,
    5.5mm,
    8mm (5/16"),
    3/8",
    10mm,
    7/16" (11mm),
    13mm (1/2"),
    9/16" (14mm),
    16mm (5/8"),
Storage space for two 25mm long 1/4" hex bits in the handle and two more in the central cut-out, depending on the type of driver tip,
And a bottle opener (which has been redesigned, to improve it's function).

This tool requires nine o-rings, in two different sizes to secure various hex bits in place:
Two to retain a hex bit into the in-line driver at the prying end (9mm ID, 2.5mm diameter, not included).
Four to secure the two hex bits into the storage slots (6mm ID, 2mm diameter, not included).
Three more to hold another two hex bits into the central cut-out (9mm ID, 2.5mm diameter, not included).

This model is designed to be printed in Stainless Steel or one of it's variants.
Although all care has been taken to ensure this model is correctly sized, due to variations in the printing process, some filing may be required to ensure correct fitment of some of the hexes.

The T-Bar can be secured to a keychain or lanyard with a No.2 McGizmo clip, similar 25mm gate clip or small split ring through the 3/8" hex hole at the top of the tool.

After looking at the bottle opener design more closely, I have updated the model; shortening the hook part and giving it's tip a tighter radius, so that it can no longer get caught under the ridges on the glass bottle's neck and break it. I held off making any changes, as I wanted to maintain the full open-wrench shape, for the 1/4" hex, but I now realise that the function of the bottle opener is more important.

@stopmoeric To be fair, I have already made an alternative bottle opener design for the T-bar: https://www.shapeways.com/model/1211482 However please let me know if adding a notch into the curve, to seat the cap, works. Or perhaps it's worth trying to round the point and/or shorten the hook itself, so it can't catch the neck of the bottle and break it.

I think you need to revisit the bottle opener aspect of this, as it's the first bottle opener I've ever used that doesn't work right. Bottle caps hit the curve too early and don't get the proper leverage. I've broken the top of a few bottles now trying to open them. I think basically the tool needs to be just a little bit longer. I'm going try grinding the curve out by the bit storage slot, hopefully that helps.

@stopmoeric To be fair the stated o-ring sizes are just what I've tested and know work. The nearest imperial sizes should work just as well.

My biggest complaint is that you have to get metric O-rings which most hardware stores don't seem to carry.

Tofty did an amazing job on my custom keychain tool and it's great! Tofty was easy to work with and translated some rough scribblings into this perfectly proportioned and functional tool. It fits perfectly in my pocket and provides screwdrivers, nut driver, pry bar and cap lifter to help with something cool to drink after the work is done. It functional art and it's great and Tofty is great too! Jlara
